Christine Robbins
Owner & Managing Attorney

Christine Robbins is the owner and Managing Attorney of Robbins Law Firm. For the last 25 years, her practice has focused on estate planning, probate and small business planning. Christine develops lifelong relationships with her clients, serving as a trusted advisor to them and to their families. Christine expertly guides her clients as they preserve and protect their assets, loved ones and legacies, including their intellectual, spiritual, and human assets.

Prior to opening Robbins Law Firm, PLLC, Christine was a partner at Akerman, LLP, one of the country’s largest and most respected law firms. Having worked for nearly two decades in high-level estate planning, probate and trust litigation, and business planning, Christine brings the skill and expertise one would typically find only in larger metropolitan areas to the Lake Norman area, but without the big firm prices!

A graduate of Rutgers Law School, Christine is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Florida.

Christine and her husband, Rob, live in Mooresville, North Carolina with their three children. Having planned for and protected her own family with a comprehensive estate plan, Christine offers helpful insight to individuals, couples, parents, and business owners seeking to do the same.

Katie Rabtoy
Associate Attorney

Katie Rabtoy is an Associate Attorney at Robbins Law Firm, where she focuses her practice on estate planning and estate administration. A graduate of Elon University School of Law, Katie is committed to guiding clients through the estate planning process with clarity and care. She understands the importance of tailored solutions—whether simple or comprehensive—to ensure that each client’s assets are protected and their wishes are honored.

Katie also assists families with estate administration, offering compassionate and knowledgeable support to help ease the burden during what is often an emotional and challenging time.

Katie holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Communication from Stonehill College, where she was also a pitcher for the varsity softball team.

Originally from Vermont, Katie relocated to North Carolina in 2020 with her husband, Zach, and their Boston Terrier, Marty. Outside the office, she enjoys running, reading, walking with Marty, and watching NASCAR and Pro Motocross.

Mackenzie Garrett
Paralegal

Mackenzie Garrett is a paralegal who focuses on estate planning and probate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Human Rights Studies from Drake University and earned her Certificate of Paralegal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Originally from Iowa, she recently relocated to North Carolina and brings a strong commitment to client service and detail-oriented support to the firm. 

Outside of the office, Mackenzie enjoys baking, reading, and spending time on the lake.

Kailey Thompson
Intake Manager

Kailey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. As a Client Coordinator, she plays a key role in managing and supporting client relationships to ensure a seamless and positive experience. A Lake Norman native, Kailey was raised in Denver, North Carolina. 

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, staying active, spending time on the lake, and hanging out with her Maltipoo, Izzy.
